"So I had a nephew missing, this was in 2012. And, you know, nobody really knew where he was, nobody knew where to start looking, nobody knew what questions to ask, you know? And at the time, the Rochester police department was not really helpful. They were like, helpful on the surface. You know, they kind of make you believe that they're doing something, but you knew that they really weren't. I started the “Missing The Missing’ organization, based on, you know, my nephew. In doing so other family members, other families whose children are missing, kind of came in to assist us. And when we met these people, which were Brittany Drexel's family, Brian Sullivan's family, Johnny Bradley's Family. We found, by talking and comparing notes, that we were kind of all in the same situation with a missing teenager, but with a lack of help. But for the black families, we noticed that there was even LESS help for the black children as there was for the Caucasian children."
